SAND HILL ROAD

Following Palo Alto Bike shop suggested bike route - driving at Sand Hill Road. This is bike super-friendly road - bike lanes everywhere. Passing by SLAC / Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (longest building in the United States).

SCENIC HIGHWAY

Passing over Interstate 280

LONELY HILL

For few minutes while I’ve been enjoying the view, I saw more than a ten squirrels. Not so lonely after all.

OLD LA HONDA ROAD BEGINS

I really feel like I am entering magic woods in some fairy tale.

PLAY OF LIGHT & SHADOW

REDWOOD TREES

Wow, I was so amazed of huge redwood trees. You feel so small near these trees and there is something very magical about them. I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of them.

SUN RAYS

The lower the sun, the more beautiful it became.

EAGLE

Woods were over and now i was cycling though more open areas.

ENJOYING THE MOMENT

Sometimes simple thing as a camera timer let’s you capture much more nicer moments than usual selfie approach.

SUNSET

As sun was going down it was getting colder and darker and i still had many hours to drive back. So after taking these two pictures i wear extra sweater, put camera back in bag and headed towards home. If you are ever in this area i highly suggest taking Old La Honda Road as a part of your route. It is not an easy one, because of the many hills, but totally worth it!
